Xavi Hernandez has mentioned six footballing legends who he believes are among the best players of all time.
The Spaniard praised his former teammate Lionel Messi and his countryman Diego Maradona for their impact in football, before naming a few others who the sport will always hold in high regard.
“Who wasn’t a fan of Maradona or isn’t now a fan of Messi?” pondered Xavi, as quoted by BeIN Doha.
“They are magical players who have had a magic wand that told them they were going to be the best of their generation.
“Maradona, Messi, Pele, (Johan) Cruyff, (Zinedine) Zidane, (Alfredo) Di Stefano remain in the memory of all football lovers.
“They have been the players to make a difference.”
