Lionel Messi will not be able to compete against Granada in Liga. The former had a yellow a card issued against him in the decisive 86 minute from FC Barcelona’s overall win over Valencia with a wonderful 4-2.
Messi was suspended due to his overt protest, and as a result was banned from joining the team in their battle against Granada.
Although, he won’t be able to support his team on April 2nd, Messi earned the chance to play against Sevilla at Camp Nou for the league.
Gerard Pique was also one step away from getting a ban, but he ended up with a mere caution, therefore; he is qualified to play against Granada.
The game against Valencia reached a climax with Messi’s double goals, Luis Suarez and Andre Gomes.
