According to Spanish Radio Cadena SER, Lionel Messi will be soon signing a new contract with Barcelona, namely next month.
It is speculated that Messi’s father and agent “Jorge”, will land in the Catalan capital in May to put a finishing touch on his son’s newly made contract.
Messi existent deal will be expiring by 2018 and rumor has it that the new deal which will be presented by Barcelona will include a five-year clause until 2022.
The renewal of Messi contract will terminate all the rumors over the axe pull on his career in the Camp Nou.
Messi will then rejoin his strike partners Luis Suarez and Neymar who sailed new contracts late last year.
Messi’s impressive résumé includes an outstanding amalgamation of 497 goals in approximately 573 games since his join in 2004, lending Barcelona a hand in achieving eight La Liga titles and four Champions leagues.
