
Lucas Digne the Barcelona left-back has put an end to speculation over his future after revealing he wants to stay at the club until at least the end of his contract in 2021, despite a difficult debut campaign.
The 23-year-old, who joined the Nou Camp from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, has endured a difficult first season in Spain and often played second fiddle to Jordi Alba in the pecking order. He has played 25 games in his first season in Catalonia, and he will be looking to have a strong end, to the LaLiga title, as well as having to face Alaves in the Copa del Rey final.
Digne said in an interview with beIN Sports: “I want to stay, I signed a contract for five seasons and I intend to win many titles here” .
“I am happy at Barcelona, and I will be even happier if we win the league,
He continued: “My situation doesn’t worry me, what matters is the team.”
