Andrés Iniesta has been awarded a lifetime contract by Barcelona, the club with which he has won 28 trophies and counting, The Catalan giants confirmed Andres Iniesta’s cnew deal on Friday, saying will stay at the club for the rest of his career.
“Andres Iniesta signed a lifetime contract with FC Barcelona on Friday, in a deal that will keep him at the Club for the rest of his career. The signing will take place at Camp Nou at 12:30pm CET,” read an official statement.
“Following the signing, around 1.00pm local time, FC Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu and Iniesta will address the media in the Camp Nou press room.
“The Spanish midfielder, who has made 639 appearances for Barça, ranks second on the all-time games played list at the Club.”
Iniesta joined the club in 1996 and is currenlty along with Lionel Messi the club’s most successful player in history.
