Gerard Pique has recovered from the virus and even forced him to be admitted to hospital in Vall d’Hebron over the weekend. The centre-back spend the morning at the Ciutat Esportiva doing some light training despite Luis Enrique has given the rest of the Barcelona players time off until Thursday.
The Catalan defender Gerard Pique suffered a stomach virus left week that made him miss the game against Las Palmas, but it’s likely that, if he trains as normal on Thursday and Friday, he will be back in the side for the final game of the season against Eibar at Camp Nou.
Getting Pique back is essential as the injuries to Mascherano and Mathieu left Barça with just one centre-back in Gran Canaria. There is a chance that Gerard Pique will be fit to take Eibar on this Sunday after the Barcelona defender returned to training.
Coach Luis Enrique will also have another defender back for the Eibar match. Sergi Roberto will be back from suspension last weekend, is once again available for the rest of the Barcelona squad back in training on Thursday before the LaLiga closer and subsequent Copa del Rey final.
