Cristiano equalled Messi’s record tally at the awards gala in London on Monday, lifting his fourth FIFA prize in the past five years – and he did so with almost half of the overall votes, receiving 43.15% of the points.
Messi followed in second place with 19.25%, while Neymar (6.97%) just beat Gianluigi Buffon (6.82%) to third spot on the podium.
Sergio Ramos (3.34%) completed the top five, and the Real Madrid captain is followed by his teammates Luka Modric (3.33%), Toni Kroos (2.70%) and Marcelo (2.09%).
Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is the only Premier League player in the top 10 after picking up 1.35% of the votes, while Luis Suarez (1.19%) followed in 10th position.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (1.10%) was the only African among the 24 final nominees, and he appeared ahead of Paulo Dybala (1.07%) and Eden Hazard (1.03%).
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Andres Iniesta (both 0.82%) followed in 14th and 15th spots, while Robert Lewandowski (0.77%), Antoine Griezmann (0.67%), Dani Carvajal (0.62%), Manuel Neuer (0.58%), Keylor Navas (0.58%), Arturo Vidal (0.51%), Leonardo Bonucci (0.47%), Alexis Sanchez (0.45%), and Harry Kane (0.33%) complete the ranking.
