According to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, the Blaugrana are interested in France international Anthony Martial.
The Catalan club apparently believes the 21-year-old has “enough quality” to play for them, and are now said to be monitoring his situation at Old Trafford closely.
With Ousmane Dembele out for an extended period due to injury, Barcelona only have Denis Suarez and Gerard Deulofeu who can operate on the left flank, a position Martial could make his own should he make the switch.
The report stated that the player may be looking to move elsewhere in the coming months as his place in Jose Mourinho’s team is not guaranteed despite his excellent start to the campaign.
The former Monaco starlet became the world’s most expensive teenager when he joined United back in 2015, but has struggled to produce consistent performances week in and out since.
Martial has made nine appearances for the Red Devils so far this season, scoring five goals and assisting a further six strikes.
