Deulofeu: I have always wanted to be at Barcelona

A new player has been added to the squad of Barcelona. Gerard Deulofeu and who pledges to be a drastically different player as he capitalized on his two-year long deal on Friday.

Barcelona asserted that last month they decided to put into check a 12 Million Euros in order to regain the wing occupier from Everton, which had previously been closed a deal with Barcelona a couple of years ago.

“… I have always wanted to be here …” he issued in the club’s official site. Adding that: “I have had to work hard [when] away from Barca, because it’s not easy to make the first team here, but I am really excited to come back.”

He also said in the same context that: “… I am convinced that it will go well. I have changed a lot, I have had different experiences and I think I have improved as a person and a player. I’m a different player and I will try to help the team…”

“I know there’s a lot of competition [for places] but I will work hard every day and try to learn from the best and help the team win titles.” 

Deulofeu’s career path was marked by a transition in La Masia, prior to his depart for Everton and Sevilla.

Following his time with Sevilla, he was chosen for a pre-seasoning under Luis Enrique’s then squad, but then he was hunted by Everton that sealed a permanent deal.

When at Goodison Park he strived to keep a regular game, but his six month transfer to AC Milan secured him a new successful image on his playing skills, and eventually a return to Barcelona.
