Barcelona has already initiated negotiations to win Countinho, as it is reported the club has already sent a delegation of representatives to make the process even smoother due to Liverpool’s notorious rigidity when it comes to outstanding players. Liverpool has already announced that Coutinho is “intransferrable”, yet this can be subject to negotiation if a decent deal has been presented. Accordingly, the Liverpool club has no plans to close a deal below 100 Million Euros, but negotiations are still proceeding.
Negotiations in regards to Coutinho have stopped as Barcelona’s executive team has been attempting to finalize Marco Verratti’s clause. As the deal went with no results, they sought Coutinho as a more suitable alternative. Coutinho’s negotiations are not easy to pull either, but probabilities for him to join are higher than Verrati’s.
The initial procedure is going well, since the club is aware of Coutinho’s intention to join the Camp Nou. The chemistry of Coutinho and his previous team is excellent, hence he is expecting Barcelona to offer a good deal to satisfy Liver pool, and not leave from “the back door” or not on good terms with Liverpool.
The delegation sent to London has made no secret that Barcelona is willing to pay 75 Million Euros for the Brazilian player, and at maximum rates 80 Million Euros. On the other side, Liverpool is setting the price at approximately 100 Million Euros or even more.
Coutinho is accordingly gets paid a clause of 9 Million Euros per season, but he’s willing to cut his pay to come to Barcelona. This is conditioned by earning a rise when his scores get high and his objectives are met. He also believes that such risky strategy is worth the wait, since the gain would be more rewarding; a well-earned big salary.
Adding Coutinho to the club would be a great reward as well. Since he’s Brazilian, he would find great company with Neymar. Yet, if Neymar chooses to depart from the club; Coutinho would be an exceptional replacement. Coutinho is a special attacker and can also occupy different spots on the pitch.
