Coutinho is Barça’s No. 1 transfer target to replace the ageing Andres Iniesta, who is in the twilight of his career.
According to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, the Merseyside club will not accept anything less than £135 million for their attacking midfielder.
Barca had three bids rejected for the Brazilian in the previous window, with their final offer rumoured to have been about £119 million.
The report stated that the player’s representative, Kia Joorabchian, has had talks with Blaugrana stakeholders in London, but there has been no word on what was discussed.
The Spanish side is apparently not the only side that is interested in the 25-year-old, with Paris Saint-Germain also believed to be monitoring the player’s situation at Anfield.
