After several attempts from Barcelona to reduce their growing wage bill, the Catalan club have received some bit of positive news as the agent of Ara Turan has confirmed that the player is set to leave.
Turan joined the team from Atletico Madrid in 2015.But his appearance for Barcelona was delayed due to a ban from FIFA, and he had to wait until January 2016 to make his debut.
However, things have not gone as planned and he has been ostracized from match day squads by Ernesto Valverde since the season began.
Turan was nowhere near the Camp Nou on Saturday as Barcelona drew 2-2 with Celta Vigo. Rather than watch Barcelona, the 30-year-old was spotted taking a stroll through wealthy Knightsbridge with his agent Ahmet Bulut who posted a picture of the pair on Instagram.
Bulut has confirmed Turan’s days in Catalonia are numbered and says they are in talks with teams in Spain, Italy and England.
He said after the derby between Besiktas and Galatasaray: “It’s not clear right now where he is going but he will leave from Barcelona in January.
“We’re talking with three or four teams from Spain, Italy and England.
“There is no contact with Galatasaray, after 15 days we’ll make a final decision.
“There are two options, he will be sold or loaned.”
