FC Barcelona are reportedly trying to sign four players in an attempt to keep superstar Lionel Messi happy at the Camp Nou.
The Argentine is apparently not happy with the number of signings the club has made this season as he feels the squad is still lacking depth and quality.
The 30-year-old, who is said to have agreed a new deal with the Blaugrana earlier this year, is yet to put pen to paper on any extension, which has fuelled rumours he is looking to leave the La Liga club.
According to Spanish publication Diario Gol, manager Ernesto Valverde believes that if the Catalans sign Mesut Ozil, Thomas Lemar, Philippe Coutinho and Nabil Fekir between now and the start of next season, this will convince Messi to stay in Spain.
Coutinho has been a long-term target of the club’s, and there are reports Valverde would like to get that transfer over the line in the January window.
Arsenal’s Ozil was recently linked with the Blaugrana, to the surprise of many. The Germany international is a free agent next season, and could suit their style of play.
Lemar and Fekir are two young players who have lots of potential going forward. Both stars are attacking midfielders and could help provide goals.
